On March 06, 2014, the U.S. Department of Treasury issued a press release announcing the President’s signing of an Executive Order to allow U.S. sanctions for “any individual or entity that is responsible for or complicit in actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in Ukraine or that threaten the peace, security, stability, sovereignty, or territorial integrity of Ukraine. “
