Netherlands Customs Downtime Continues

Posted by Sarah Lilly on 3/14/16 4:32 PM

The previously announced AGS (Aangiftesysteem) downtime scheduled from Friday, March 11, 2016 at 19:00 o’clock CET to Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 18:00 o’clock CET, has continued beyond the anticipated completion time, and the Import and Storage systems are still down.

Netherlands Customs has issued a press release advising the issues are actively being worked on, and an update will be provided March 15, 2016 at 9 o’clock CET. Until then, it is not possible to submit any import declarations. For urgent shipments, the fall back procedure can be used to avoid delays and minimize the impact on the supply chain. Exports and NCTS are not affected, and declarations for these procedures can be submitted as usual.

The downtime was scheduled to release a new version of AGS to accommodate new message formats required by the World Customs Organization (WCO) data model version 3.
