In a Federal Register published on October 13, 2015, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced that they are seeking comments on the existing requirements for applications and supplemental information collection in an effort to reduce paperwork burdens. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will review the collection and review and approve in agreement with the Paperwork Reduction Act.

The general public and other Federal agencies are asked to comment in four main areas:

  • Is the collection of information necessary and will it have a practical use?
  • Are the burden of collection estimates accurate?
  • How can the quality, unity, and clarity of the collected information be enhanced?
  • How can the burden of collection be reduced?

The comments period will run beginning on October 14, 2015 and end on December 14, 2015. All comments will become a matter of public record. The notice can be viewed online here
