On January 30, 2015, the U.S. Department of the Treasury published three general licenses authorizing certain transactions with the Crimea region of Ukraine, otherwise prohibited under Executive Order 13685, "Blocking Property of Certain Persons and Prohibiting Certain Transactions With Respect to the Crimea Region of Ukraine."
The three general licenses are as follows:
- General License 6: "Noncommercial, Personal Remittances Authorized"
- General License 7: "Operation of Accounts Authorized"
- General License 8: "Transactions Related to Telecommunications and Mail Authorized"
