Department of Treasury Publishes Three Ukraine-Related General Licenses

On January 30, 2015, the U.S. Department of the Treasury published three general licenses authorizing certain transactions with the Crimea region of Ukraine, otherwise prohibited under Executive Order 13685, "Blocking Property of Certain Persons and Prohibiting Certain Transactions With Respect to the Crimea Region of Ukraine."​​​

The three general licenses are as follows:

  • General License 6: "Noncommercial, Personal Remittances Authorized"
  • General License 7: "Operation of Accounts Authorized"
  • General License 8: "Transactions Related to Telecommunications and Mail Authorized​"

Expeditors will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they occur. Please contact your local Expeditors office for specific questions and concerns.
