On December 23, 2013, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) published an article announcing that China will accept a new consolidated wine export certificate for U.S. exporters, effective March 1, 2014.

According to the release, “the People's Republic of China (PRC) will accept a one-page Wine Export Certificate (consolidated certificate) from U.S. industry members for U.S. wine products exported from the United States. This consolidated certificate is a multi-purpose document, which can be used as a certificate of origin, certificate of health/sanitation, and certificate of authenticity/free sale.”

The one-page document will replace a number of certificates, which U.S. exporters currently must file for wine exports.
