CBP to Hold Online Webinar and In Person Outreach Session in San Francisco on ACE

On June 30, 2014, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued CSMS #14-000380 announcing their holding of an Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Entry Summary Business Rules and Process webinar, in conjunction with the National Customs Broker & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA), on July 14, 2014.

According to the CSMS, ”This webinar is intended to provide filers with a better understanding of entry summary processing and workflow procedures in ACE. CBP invites all ACE and ACS entry summary filers to participate in this webinar and encourages everyone to spread the word out about this webinar to other associates.”

Topics of discussion will include the following:

  • Entry Summary filing requirements, status events, and actions
  • Census Warning Messages and Override codes
  • Post Entry Summary Requests, including CBP Forms 28, 29, 4647
  • Blanket Statement Declarations
  • Post Summary Corrections (PSC)

CBP also announced an ACE Outreach Session in San Francisco, CA, on July 17, 2014. Topics will include upcoming ACE deployments, new functionalities, and mandatory dates for filing through ACE. Participants are encouraged to sign up in advance, as space is limited.
