On August 6, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #14-000027 providing revised guidelines on omitted invoices.

According to the CSMS, “omitted invoices are now permitted for submission on Post Entry Amendments (PEAs) and Post Summary Corrections (PSCs).”

Under the previous process, CBP did not accept post entry corrections for missed invoices and required the submission of a new entry.

CBP has updated the ACE Entry Summary Business Rules and Process Document to reflect the revised procedure, under which post entry corrections are accepted for additional invoices.
