CBP Provides More Details on Revised ACE Timeline

On September 2, 2015 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued an announcement with additional details on the revised dates for the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) rollout.

A Final Rule will be delivered by CBP implementing the “no hybrid” policy. A hybrid submission combines both information submitted electronically in ACE and paper form. These hybrid submissions will be allowed until the Final Rule has been applied, which is expected in July 2016.  For entries with Participating Government Agencies (PGA’s) who still require paper forms, hybrid entries will still be allowed.

Updates on filing practices and additional information in ACE will continue to be delivered by CBP.
