U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued an updated version of the Broker Examination, which will take place on Monday, October 7, 2013 at various locations throughout the United States.

Although a previous notice stated that an additional 30 minutes would be given to test takers, the updated notice states that the exam will last only four hours. The exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions, and requires a score of 75 percent in order to receive a passing grade.

All applicants must register for the exam online, and a fee of $200.00 will be due at the time of the application. Credit or debit cards are the only accepted form of payment. Applications submitted directly to the service port or CBP Headquarters will not be accepted, and will be returned.

All applications must be turned in by September 9, 2013, at 12:00 pm EST.

The CBP notice is available online here.

The online application form is available here.
