CBP Issues Guidelines on Mexican Sugar Export License Submissions

On January 26, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000065 regarding the submission and reporting of Mexican sugar export licenses to CBP.

According to the CSMS, “In accordance with the Suspension Agreement and the DOC instructions, effective February 17, 2015, CBP shall require presentation of an Export License as a condition for entry of all consumption entries of sugar from Mexico into the United States.  See message #4364303 for the scope of the merchandise covered by the suspension agreement.”
