Posted by Sarah Lilly on 11/4/15 5:44 PM

On November 04, 2015, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000828, providing additional information on the “One USG” message.

The One USG message alerts parties that “merchandise has arrived, that all data required for entry has been submitted to the U.S. Government, that all PGAs that regulate the merchandise have issued a may proceed and that CBP has conditionally released the merchandise from its custody.”

The One USG message does not replace the 1C disposition code and is not a requirement to obtain a cargo release from CBP Custody. To learn more about the One USG message, please see here
