CBP Completes Automated Commercial Environment Deployment D

On January 6, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000006 summarizing the newly released trade processing features in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), completing Deployment D.

 

The new features include the following:

  • Manifest
    • CBP will begin processing air manifest data in ACE on January 11, 2015. 
    • Effective May 1, 2015, all electronic manifests must be filed in ACE.
  • Cargo Release
    • For ocean, rail and air shipments, filers can now transmit Antidumping/Countervailing Duty entries (Entry type 03) to ACE.
    • Code was deployed to production in support of advanced truck shipment processing in ACE. 
  • Entry Summary, Accounts and Revenue- eBond
    • CBP can now receive and validate Single Transaction Bonds, Continuous Bonds, and Bond Riders electronically
    • CBP can provide bond status updates electronically
    • A new bond user interface and capabilities are available for CBP users. 
    • Bond validations are in place for ACE Cargo Release and ACE Entry Summary.
    • Enhanced Trade user interfaces are in place to allow for location of Single Transaction Bonds.
  • Exports
    • Capabilities in support of Ocean/Rail export manifest processing have been deployed to production.
    • Initiation of the export manifest pilots are pending publication of Federal Register Notices.
  • Partner Government Agency Integration (Single Window)
    • Capabilities were deployed to production for Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
