On June 4, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000328 announcing a temporary system outage for the Air Automated Manifest System (AMS), the Automated Commercial Environment (ACS), and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) on June 6-7, 2015, as CBP will conduct system updates to accommodate for the ACE air manifest deadline of June 7, 2015.
CBP clarifies that, “the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) will become the system of record for Air Manifests.”
The outages are as follows:
- Air AMS: offline from June 6, 2015 at 3 PM to June 7, 2015 at 5 AM EDT
- ACS: will go offline on June 6, 2015 from 3:00-6:00 PM EDT
- Air Inbond Transactions: Filers should not send QX/WX ABI inbond transactions from 3:00 PM EDT on June 6, 2015 to June 7, 2015 at 5:00 AM EDT
- Air Manifest Query: Filers should stop using the ABI IN transaction to query airway bills from June 6, 2015 at 3 PM to June 7, 2015 at 5 AM EDT
- ACE Ocean, Rail, Truck Manifest and ACE Entry Summary: will go offline from June 6, 7:00 PM EDT to June 7 at 5:00 AM EDT
- During the June 6, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM outage window, CBP will not process FTZ Admissions/e214s (All FZ and FT APP ID’s) or FDA Prior Notice WP transactions.
Any messages transmitted during the downtime will be processed once the system becomes available.
