On February 3, 2016 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Cargo System Messaging Service (CSMS) #16-000075 announcing that the Port of New Orleans, LA will be closed on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 due to the local Mardi Gras holiday.
According to the CSMS, “Filers with businesses located in or have filed (RLF) entries in New Orleans will be granted an additional day for the payment of duties, taxes and fees.”
