On October 21, 2015, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a modification to the National Customs Automation Program (NCAP), regarding the ACE Exporter Portal Account test. This test will launch limited export functionality, such as access to Export Reports and the capacity to file Electronic Exporter Information (EEI) through ACE AESDirect.

Export data with an associated Employer Identification Number (EIN) can be accessed through a new “exporter view” in the ACE Portal. Also, “the ACE Exporter Account Portal will enable USPPIs or their authorized agents to transmit EEI by selecting the “Submit AESDirect Filings” link in the exporter view.” ACE AESDirect is expected to supplant the legacy AESDirect that is operated by the Census Bureau.

The ACE Portal Account Test became effective on October 21, 2015 and will continue until notified by a Federal Register. For more information please see here
