CBP Announces Erroneous ACE Portal Deactivations

Posted by Sarah Lilly on 3/29/16 4:32 PM

On March 29, 2016, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #16-000247 announcing that due to an error in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal a number of accounts have been deactivated.

CBP has investigated this issue behind the deactivations and have corrected the error. Currently, CBP is working to identify those accounts and repair them, but have advised the most efficient process would be to reach out to a Trade Account Owner (TAO) to reactive the account.

Directions for resetting the passwords can be located in CSMS# 16-000236. The full message can be accessed here
