On December 11, 2015 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000931, announcing a Webinar and Q&A session for all EDI and VPN Filers in the AESDirect System. The webinar will help to explain the changes that will be required for the new AESDirect.

Beginning in the spring of 2016 the Legacy AESDirect system will be phased out and fully replaced with the new AESDirect system in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). “The transition will be part of a coordinated effort between developers/companies, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Census Bureau. Each developer/company will work directly with staff from Census Bureau and/or CBP to coordinate their transition as needed.”

The Webinar will take place on December 17, 2015 at 2:00pm ET for developers and companies that use EDI or VPN. “The call-in information will be provided in a broadcast directly to that group based on registration information collected in AESDirect.” To see the full CSMS, follow the link here
