CBP Announces Dates for Rescheduled East Coast Symposium

On November 6, 2013, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the revised date of the East Coast Trade Symposium to be March 6-7, 2014.  The symposium, which will be held in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, was originally scheduled for October 24-25, 2013, but cancelled due to the government shutdown.
 
Topics expected to be covered in the event include:

  • Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) single window and full deployment
  • Air Cargo Advance Screening (ACAS)
  • Centers of Excellence and Expertise (CEEs)
  • Trusted Trader Programs and partnership in trade enforcement
  • The president’s National Export Initiative
  • Public-private sector engagement
