In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) published on October 14, 2016 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Department of the Treasury issued a proposed ruling to no longer post notices, suspension, or extensions of liquidation at customhouses, stations, or mail and instead post them electronically to the CBP website.

According to the notice, “This proposed electronic posting will replace both the physical posting or lodging of bulletin notices in the customhouse as the legal evidence of liquidation and the mailed notices of extension or suspension as official notice.” Notices will be updated daily and can be search by ten data elements.

The comments for this proposed ruling must be received no later than November 14, 2016.
