CBP Activates ACE Daily Statement Testing

On May 11, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #15-000272 announcing the ability for the trade to begin testing Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Daily Statements in the ACE-Certification environment, effective May 10, 2015.

The CSMS clarifies that, “Trade participants can begin to transmit test ACE Entry Summaries (AE) designated for statement processing into the ACE Certification environment. A Preliminary Daily Statement (PF) will be created on the statement print date designated within the test entry summaries.”

The payment authorization message set will not be subject to testing, and hence the final daily statements will not be generated. The ACE statement update message will be added to the certification environment in the future.

Participants in the testing environment should report inconsistencies to CBP prior of the ACE Statement deployment in January 2016.
