Mexico Releases Implementation Guide to Address Products of Forced Labor

In a notice on May 18, 2023, the Government of Mexico announced the publication of an Implementation Guide on restricting the importation of goods produced with forced labor. The guide outlines forced labor criteria, investigation process, and the mechanisms for restricting importation where the use of forced labor is confirmed. It also includes information on international tools aimed at employers and companies to identify and combat forced labor in their production chains as part of their due diligence obligations.
