On February 1, 2023, the Union Budget of India was presented. The Union Budget details the rates and procedures for Customs, Central Excise, and Goods and Services Taxes effective from February 2, 2023.
Filing of Import Customs Entries (Bill of Entries) via ICEGATE (India Customs EDI Gateway) will stop from 5 pm on February 1, 2023, until the budgetary changes are updated in ICEGATE, and will resume on or after February 2, 2023.
Import Customs Entries (Bill of Entries) filed before February 1, 2023, will be processed as per all procedures, including those related to reassessment issued under the new Union Budget. Consequently, there may be delays in filing and/or clearance of Customs Entries through Friday, February 3, 2023.
