FDA Extends Comment Period on Proposed Recordkeeping Requirements

On December 18, 2020, in a Federal Register Notice (FRN), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) extended the comment period for a proposed rule that would require additional documentation for certain high-risk foods at various points in the supply chain process. The measures are under consideration for the prevention and mitigation of foodborne illness outbreaks and other threats of serious health consequences.

Comments can be submitted through February 22, 2021.
