FCC Announces Extension of Waiver for Form 740

On December 13, 2016 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #16-001013 announcing that the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has decided to extend the waiver of Form 740 for Radio Frequency (RF) devices.

According to the CSMS, “FCC is extending the waiver of the requirement for customs brokers and self-filers to file FCC data in ACE until the Commission completes its rulemaking on this issue.”

In an Order published by the FCC, they announced that the extension will be until June 30, 2017.
