EPA Issues Compliance Advisory Alert

On March 7, 2023, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #55388253, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a compliance advisory alert for imports of pesticide devices. The advisory includes details on “producing, distributing, [and] selling pesticide devices.” These devices are subject to statutory and regulatory requirements included in the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Non-compliance can result in a Customs hold or denial, seizures, and/or civil and criminal penalties.
