On September 15, 2017, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) # 17-000581 detailing guidance on Filers who are still without power.

Due to the effects of Hurricane Irma, US Customs stated that “CBP is extending an additional day, without penalty, for any entry summaries and payment of duties that will be due on September 13 through September 17 in the Ports of 5201 (Miami Seaport) 5203 (Port Everglades), 5201 (Port of West Palm Beach), and 5206 (Miami International Airport).” The additional day affects South Florida filers who do not have power.
