Posted by Timothy Miller on 3/27/24 5:00 PM

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on March 26, 2024, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) announced two new license codes in the Automated Export System (AES) for License Exception Notified Advanced Computing (NAC).

The two new codes should be used when sending certain advanced computing chips under the BIS license exemptions. Code C67 (NAC) should be used in AES when the export of the chips requires advance notification to BIS, and C68 (NAC) should be used in AES when no prior notification to BIS is required.

Codes C67 (NAC) and Code C68 (NAC) are active in AES on the date of publication.
