On October 3, 2022, in Ruling 26/2022, Argentina’s Ministry of Economy published modifications to strengthen import operations required by the productive sectors to increase the levels of production and employment.

Ruling 26/2022 replaces Annex II of Ruling 523/2017, and it modifies the previous list of items subject to these regulations to now require 4,193 goods to have non-automatic licenses. The list goes from Chapters 4-97 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature based on the Harmonized System. Please note that a non-automatic license means that approval and the issuance of the license from the Argentine government must be obtained prior to the cargo departing the origin for final destination Argentina.

Ruling 26/2022 is effective from October 4, 2022.
