Global supply chains constantly evolve, and Expeditors plans to keep pace in Atlanta by introducing its largest North American office and warehouse space to date.

We recognized the growth of our customers across the region and responded with this new 363,000-square-foot facility in Ellenwood, Ga. to support.

Stretching Out

This facility enhances our ability to remain agile and responsive to our customers. We can more efficiently, manage higher volumes, and provide expanded temperature control capacity.

Atlanta is the hub for goods flowing in and out of the southeastern US. With 68,000 square feet of bonded space, we have expanded Atlanta’s gateway capabilities. Expeditors in Atlanta functions as a true import gateway by facilitating the onforwarding of air and ocean LCL shipments moving through this facility to other regional destinations such as Charlotte, Memphis, Nashville, Norfolk, and Raleigh.

The new capacity allows us to transfer more of your product to markets where you need it to be faster. Our team now has access to 66 loading docks and more than 1,600 rack positions for staging transportation. With efficiency key to managing larger volumes, we have also added state-of-the-art yard and dock management tools.

Expanding Advanced Capabilities

Good Distribution Practices remain vitally important to the success of our healthcare customers.

This need drove us to include 5,600 square feet of GDP-compliant and temperature-controlled (15-25C) space, as well as 1,200 square feet of (2-8 C) GDP-compliant space in the Ellenwood facility. The two areas have thereby doubled our previous TC capacity.

Providing this space for our customers has proven essential as many airline facilities do not have the capability to screen cargo within a temp-controlled environment. Expeditors can do so in-house and provide protection for the product quality and security our customers expect.

Our expanded facility in Ellenwood, GA. demonstrates Expeditors’ commitment to grow and invest where we can best meet our customers’ needs.
