Rex worked as an intern at several Expeditors offices in Asia, then formally began his career in Los Angeles as a management trainee in 2010. In 2011, he was transferred to Hong Kong, where he worked in a number of functions, including that of Manager – Air Export, Hong Kong, Manager – Account Management, North Asia, and General Manager – Customer Retention & Development, Asia-Pacific. Towards the end of 2015, Rex moved to Singapore to assume responsibility over the Air Product in the newly-formed South Asia region, which encompasses the ASEAN countries and Oceania. In his current capacity as Director – Air, South Asia, Rex is involved in areas such as procurement, pricing, partnerships, analytics and operations management. Rex studied international relations, and holds a master’s degree in journalism as well as strategic studies.
Jeffrey started his career with Expeditors in Singapore in 1995 as Expeditors Cargo Management System’s (E.CMS) Data Entry Clerk. Being someone who thrives on challenges, he took on a Supervisor role in 1997. During this time, he contributed to the successful implementation of the Multi-Countries Consolidation (MCC) Program in Singapore. In 2002, Jeffrey earned his promotion to Ocean Manager. Under his leadership, the Singapore team successfully developed and grew the Ocean business.
In 2007, he moved to a regional role as the Regional Ocean Manager for Asia Pacific, and developed the NMEIS (Near/Middle East and Indian Subcontinent), LATAM & Europe trades. With his 20+ years experience in ocean freight, and his “Can Do” attitude, he was promoted to General Manager of Ocean for South Asia in 2015. Jeffrey was subsequently promoted to the position of Director of Ocean Services for South Asia in 2017, and is responsible for the growth and development of the Ocean product in the South Asia region.
