USTR Finalizes Second List of Tariffs on Goods of Chinese Origin

On August 7, 2018, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) released a finalized list of the second set of tariffs that was proposed under Section 301 on June 15, 2018. Of the 284 HS codes that were initially proposed, the finalized list includes 279 HS codes that will be subject to an additional 25% duty rate. The finalized list represents approximately $16 billion worth of imported goods from China. 

The additional tariffs will go into effect on August 23, 2018.
