On July 19, 2017 the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced arrangements have been made for the first round of negotiations for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Representatives from the United States, Canada, and Mexico will meet on August 16-17, 2017 in Washington D.C. to begin the discussions on NAFTA renegotiation.

On May 18, 2017 USTR notified Congress of the President’s intent to renegotiate the terms of NAFTA, which began a 90-day period of consultation and review between the public and Congress.
