On January 11, 2017 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000009 announcing the postponement of the final core trade processing capabilities in ACE, which include Drawback, Duty Deferral, Reconciliation, Liquidation, Collections, and Statements deployment.

According to the notice, “In consideration of stakeholder feedback and the complexity of the ongoing integration testing CBP is providing additional time to prepare for the final core ACE deployment and ensure a smooth transition …”

In earlier CSMS messages CBP announced the deployment of the final core trade processing capabilities as January 14, 2017, currently, only Notices of Liquidation will now be deployed on this date. CBP will advise on the new deployment date for the other capabilities at a later time.
