NOAA To Host Webinars Regarding New SIMP Program

Posted by Sarah Lilly on 5/24/17 3:08 PM

NOAA will be hosting a series of webinars starting in late May and continuing into June in order to provide the trade community (both foreign and domestic) the opportunity to learn more about the National Marine Fisheries Service Seafood Import Monitoring Program’s (SIMP) traceability data reporting and record-keeping requirements.

NMFS’s Seafood Import Monitoring Program (SIMP) import reporting and record retention requirements will go mandatory effective January 1, 2018. The webinars put on by NMFS will provide an overview of the SIMP program, tentative time frames on the pilot testing of the program, and discussion on the reporting and record keeping requirements.
