CBP Postpones ACE Software Developer Session

On February 27, 2015, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) 15-000136 postponing the March 3-4, 2015 ACE Software Developer Session until further notice. CBP was required to cancel the event in light of current funding issues for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In the CSMS, CBP states, “We apologize for the inconvenience but these are circumstances beyond our control.  We recognize the importance of this conference and will be rescheduling this event as soon as possible.  When we have information on a new date, we will provide an update and new registration details.”

While congress passed a one-week funding measure to temporarily avoid the agency’s partial shutdown, a long-term financing solution has yet to be voted on.

Expeditors will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they occur.
