On April 18, 2016 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #16-000306 reminding the trade that shipments with quota merchandise should still be filed in the legacy Automated Commercial System (ACS).

The CSMS also advises that Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Temporary Importation Bonds (TIBs) that contain quota should be filed in ACS, “until all quota entry types have been fully deployed in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).”

CBP previously stated in CSMS #16-000196, that quota entries should become available in July 2016 in ACE.
