On June 15, 2019, the Government of India announced tariffs on certain goods of U.S. origin. The announcement was published in the Gazette of India under Notification No.17/2019 and includes products such as walnuts, almonds, apples, and phosphoric acid.

The additional tariffs were originally announced in a notice to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2018, this announcement makes several changes to the original list, the implementation of which has been delayed several times.

Notification No.17/2019 took effect on June 16, 2019.
