On February 28, 2018, the European Commission published a draft agreement on the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union.
The draft withdrawal agreement consists of six parts, including:
- Introductory provisions;
- Citizens' rights;
- The financial settlement;
- Transitional arrangements;
- Institutional provisions;
- Other separation issues such as goods placed on the market before the withdrawal date.
Additionally, the draft agreement contains a protocol for the Ireland and Northern Ireland border.
