China to Resume Additional Tariffs on Cars and Auto Parts Originating from the U.S.

On August 23, China’s Ministry of Finance announced it would implement additional tariffs on automobiles and automotive parts beginning December 15, 2019.

The announcement ends a suspension of additional tariffs on these commodities that has been in place since January 1, 2019.

Automobiles will be subject to an additional 25%, and automotive parts will be subject to an additional 5%.
