In a stride towards sustainable logistics, Expeditors in Dubai has launched a fully electric van. This step was essential for aligning our operations with strict environmental guidelines and emphasizing our commitment to responsible and innovative solutions.

Powering the Future with Clean Energy

The chosen vehicle, a 2024 Peugeot E-Expert Panel Van, boasts an impressive range and exclusively utilizes green energy. The van is entirely charged from a renewable energy source through solar panels, making it a 100% solar-powered vehicle. This eliminates the use of fossil fuels, minimizing our carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner, healthier environment. Furthermore, the electric van offers several advantages over its diesel counterpart:

  • Reduced Emissions: Zero tailpipe emissions, significantly lowering air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Enhanced Performance: Quieter operation, smoother acceleration, and a more comfortable ride for drivers.
  • Lower Maintenance: Requires less maintenance and fewer moving parts, resulting in lower operating costs.

Delivering with Success

The electric van operates daily and covers a range of delivery locations, including Marina Mall Dubai, City Walk, Mall of the Emirates, and more. It has a 250 km range per full charge and a payload capacity of 950 kg, accommodating a maximum of 4 pallets.

With a 100% delivery success rate and a total monthly distance traveled of 2666 km, this initiative demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of electric vehicles in our operations.

Expeditors Sustainability

This successful implementation serves as a testament to our commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility. We will continue to explore and implement sustainable solutions across our global network, driving positive change and reinforcing our position as a leader in innovative and responsible logistics.
