Description:
CBP’s mission is to safeguard America's borders while enhancing the Nation's global economic competitiveness. Importers’ responsibility to use Reasonable Care in their day-to-day activities includes understanding the Most Common Importer Errors, preparing for a Focused Assessment, and understanding how the Priority Trade Issues impact daily affairs. Other topics to be discussed include Trade Remedies (section 301); Country of Origin Determination; Classification; Valuation; Prior Disclosure; and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.

The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal contains tools which are most helpful when importers and exporters are tasked with monitoring their transactional activity, obtaining information about filers and bonds, and reviewing liquidation and ISF accuracy, yet its full capabilities can be difficult to extract. We will provide tips and tricks for working with your company’s data within the portal, how to run and modify reports, and how to use the ACE system to augment your auditing work.

Please bring your laptop so you can sign in to ACE and practice with your own company’s data.
